The First Raptor Is Its Own Truck

The Raptor looks like an F150, but the body differs where it counts. Ford stretched the track seven inches to fit the long-travel suspension. It added wider fenders and its own front fascia. The truck measures over 86 inches across. A standard F150 bumper is shaped for a narrower nose, so it does not line up.

The upside is simple. Every 2010-2014 Raptor takes the same bumpers. The 2010 truck came as a SuperCab. The SuperCrew joined in 2011. Cab length does not change the bumper fit. The front and rear mounts held steady across all five years. Pick by the years on the box, 2010 to 2014.

Front Bumpers for the Wide Body

Front bumpers carry this collection, eight of them, and they split into three jobs.

Full-replacement fronts swap the plastic for a clean steel face and a better approach angle. Fab Fours cuts its Vengeance No-Guard front from 11-gauge US steel, about an eighth inch thick, at 125 pounds. ADD builds the PRO V2 in plate steel at 162 pounds.

Winch-ready fronts carry a fairlead and a rated tray, so a stuck truck can pull itself out. Hammerhead builds two, both in thicker 3/16-inch plate. The Low-Profile front runs 176 pounds. ADD's HoneyBadger winch front adds reinforced shackle mounts for soft shackles.

Pre-runner fronts add a steel hoop or bar over the grille and a spot for lights. Fab Fours offers the Vengeance Pre-Runner Guard at 150 pounds. Hammerhead's pre-runner front is winch-ready too. ADD's Venom R uses 3/16-inch steel and tube for the chase-truck look.

The fronts run from about 125 to 176 pounds. Plan on a second set of hands and basic tools. Nothing gets welded. And this truck has no factory sensors, radar, or camera up front, so the swap stays clean.

Rear Bumpers and the Sensor Question

Two steel rears round out the collection. Both trade the stock plastic for a step and real recovery points.

Some 2010-2014 Raptors came with the rear parking sensors, the ones that beep when you back up. Both rears handle them. The Fab Fours Vengeance rear is 11-gauge steel with sensor cutouts, at 150 pounds. The ADD Venom rear has cutouts too and ships with plugs, so it fits trucks with or without the sensors.

One catch on the Fab Fours rear. Its sensor mounts are set for lifted trucks. On a stock-height Raptor, the mounts often need tuning, and the product page says so.
