How to Choose Your Ranch Hand Bumper for the Silverado 1500
Ranch Hand fits the Silverado 1500 with four series. Each one does a different job.
Legend. Ranch Hand's heaviest steel, and the only series that goes back to the older body styles. On the Silverado 1500 it is a front bumper for 1988-1998 trucks, 220 lbs of 4-inch steel pipe with a 2-inch receiver, and a rear bumper for 1999-2007 trucks. Both bolt on with the mounting kit included. Pick Legend if you run an older Silverado and want the toughest steel made for it. The rear has no built-in backup lights, so plan for that.
Summit. The widest year coverage on this truck, 1999 through 2026, in a full-replacement 12-gauge steel front with a brush guard. On 2019-2021 trucks the sensor version keeps your front park assist. The 2022-2026 version does not fit the LTD or ZR2 trims. Pick Summit for front protection on almost any Silverado 1500 year. Skip it if your truck has Super Cruise, which no Ranch Hand front works with.
Midnight. The blacked-out option, made only for 2019-2021 trucks. It is 7-gauge steel, thicker than Summit's 12-gauge plate (lower number, thicker steel), with a matte black finish. The front comes with a grille guard at 203 lbs or without it at 153 lbs, and there is a matching rear. Pick Midnight for a 2019-2021 truck when you want the clean, blacked-out look. It does not fit diesel models.
Sport. The rear bumper in the lineup, for 2007 through 2026 trucks. It is formed 3/16-inch steel with a diamond-plate face, lighted, and it keeps the rear parking sensors. The 2019-and-newer version fits trucks with dual exhaust. Pick Sport if you tow, haul, or back into tight spots and want the rear end protected. Ranch Hand only builds a Sport front for heavy-duty trucks, so on the 1500 it is a rear bumper.
Most owners who add a front bumper also grab the matching rear, so the truck looks like one build.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will a Ranch Hand bumper fit my 2018 Silverado 1500?
Yes. For a 2016-2018 Silverado 1500, Ranch Hand makes the Summit front bumper and the Sport rear bumper. Both bolt on to the factory mounting points with the included kit, so most owners install them at home in a few hours.
Will a Silverado 1500 bumper also fit my 2500HD or 3500HD?
No. The heavy-duty Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD use a different frame and mounting points, so the 1500 bumpers will not fit. Ranch Hand makes a separate line for those trucks on the Silverado 2500 and 3500 page.
Do these bumpers work with my parking sensors and front camera?
On 2019 and newer trucks, the sensor-ready Summit (model code ending in C) and the Midnight front both keep your front parking sensors and use removable inserts for the factory camera. The 2022-2026 Summit keeps the sensors as built. None of the front bumpers work with Super Cruise, so check your trim before ordering.
