The Summit front bumper
The Summit is a full steel front bumper, and it carries a grille guard that wraps the grille and reaches over the headlights. The whole front end stays covered. The steel is diamond plate and a thick-walled 4-inch pipe, welded into one piece with no weak joints. The finish is black powder coat, so it fights rust. It holds up on the street and off the road.
This front fits any 2000 to 2006 Tahoe or Suburban. Two limits to know. It will not clear the Z71 fog lights, so a Z71 owner gives those up. And it will not fit a truck with a body lift. The Summit bolts on with the included kit, no cutting or drilling. The Summit weighs 193 pounds. It ships by freight, and a helper makes the lift easy.
The Legend rear bumper, for the 2500
The Legend rear is a full steel replacement bumper for the three-quarter-ton trucks, the 2500 Suburban and Tahoe. It runs the same diamond-plate-and-pipe build as the front, with a deep 8-inch skirt that covers the lower rear. Ranch Hand rated it to a 1,000-pound tongue weight and 10,000 pounds of towing. A bolt-on receiver is an option when you pull a trailer.
The Legend rear has no backup lights, so you lose the factory reverse lamps in that spot. It mounts direct, with the kit and hardware in the box. Frequently Asked Questions
Will Ranch Hand fit my 2007 or newer Tahoe or Suburban?
No. Ranch Hand makes these for the 2000 to 2006 Tahoe and Suburban only. The Summit front and the Legend rear are cut for that generation, so they will not line up on a 2007 or newer truck. Stay inside the 2000 to 2006 years for a guaranteed fit.
Will the Legend rear fit my half-ton Tahoe or Suburban?
The Legend rear here is made for the 2500, the three-quarter-ton Suburban and Tahoe. If you run the half-ton 1500, confirm your truck first, since this rear is cut to the heavier 2500 frame. The Summit front is the easy one, as it fits any 2000 to 2006 Tahoe or Suburban.
Does the Legend rear keep my backup lights?
No. The Legend rear has no backup lights, so you lose the factory reverse lamps that sat in the old bumper. Plan for that before you install it. Everything else lines up as normal.
