Open Bumper, Grille-Guard Front, or Winch-Ready
Steelcraft sorts the Silverado 1500 front by style. Start with how much guard you want.
Fortis. The low, open bumper, and the only front with no guard. It runs 6-gauge steel, where a lower number means thicker steel, and it is the lightest steel front here. You get welded D-ring shackle mounts, a 20-inch light-bar cutout, and room for your factory sensors. It also comes in at the lowest price here. If you want the front low and bare, nothing standing in front of the grille, the Fortis is that bumper.
HD Elevation. A bumper carrying the full grille guard in smooth steel, with a punched-mesh panel over the grille and bars that wrap the headlights. Your tow hooks and fog lights keep their factory spots, a 20-inch bar fits up the middle, and the sensors keep their openings. The steel version weighs about 247 pounds on 2014-2018 trucks. If the grille and headlights need cover but the truck still parks downtown, this bumper carries the guard with the least visual bulk.
HD Replacement. The heavy grille-guard bumper, and the most protection up front. It uses a diamond-plate base, pipe guards over the headlights, and mesh across the grille. It also carries a receiver hitch in the face, a ready recovery point. On 2014-2018 trucks it weighs about 368 pounds, so it is a two-person lift. If the truck earns its keep, this is the most front-end armor Steelcraft sells for it.
Aluminum HD Elevation. The same bumper as the steel Elevation, made in aluminum. On 2014-2018 trucks it weighs about 141 pounds against 247 for the steel, and it is the priciest front in this lineup. Adaptive cruise and the front emblem camera both carry over, and aluminum shrugs off road salt. Steelcraft makes it for 2014-2021 trucks only. If winters mean salt where you live, or the front axle carries enough already, aluminum settles both problems.
HD Elevation Bullnose. The only winch-ready front, for 2007-2013 trucks. A welded bullnose hoop guards the center of the grille, and it fits most winches up to 10,000 pounds. The factory fog lights stay, and the whole thing weighs about 219 pounds. For a 2007-2013 truck, or any build that includes a winch, the bullnose is the answer.
Rears. Steelcraft makes plain rear bumpers in the Fortis, HD Elevation, and HD Replacement lines. Each wraps your factory hitch and is ready for a reverse light and the rear sensors. The HD Elevation rear puts a step in each corner for bed access, and it is the one rear that reaches back to the 2007-2013 trucks.
Each one mounts to the factory frame with the kit hardware. Most owners hang one in a couple of hours. The HD Replacement is the exception and wants two people on it. The cutouts keep your front parking sensors in place, though stock-perfect readings are not part of the promise. The bumpers ship free by freight.
Match Your Silverado, Especially the 2019
Match the truck before you order. The year alone is not always enough on this model.
2007-2013. One front and one rear. The winch-ready bullnose up front and the HD Elevation rear.
2014-2018. The full lineup fits, front and rear, including the aluminum guard.
2019. Watch this year. Chevy had two different Silverados on dealer lots at once, the all-new 2019 truck and the carryover badged LD or Classic. They take different Steelcraft bumpers. Check the body, not just the year.
2019-2021. The new body takes the full lineup, front and rear, with the aluminum guard.
2022-2026. The Fortis, HD Elevation, and HD Replacement fit, front and rear. There is no aluminum option for these years. The bumpers leave out the ZR2 trim and the 2022 Limited, and the HD Replacement does not fit trucks with Super Cruise.

And if the year itself is the question, the Silverado fitment guide answers it before you shop.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which bumper fits a 2019 Silverado 1500, the new body or the Classic?
It depends on the body. In 2019 Chevy sold the all-new Silverado next to the older truck, badged LD or Classic. They use different Steelcraft bumpers, so match the body, not just the year. Steelcraft makes the Fortis, HD Elevation, and HD Replacement for both, front and rear, and the new 2019 body also adds the aluminum guard.
Does Steelcraft make a winch-ready bumper for the Silverado 1500?
Yes, on the older trucks. The HD Elevation Bullnose fits 2007-2013 Silverado 1500 trucks, takes most winches up to 10,000 pounds, and keeps your factory fog lights. On 2014 and newer trucks Steelcraft has no built-in winch front, though the HD Replacement builds a receiver hitch into the bumper face for recovery gear.
Will a Steelcraft bumper work with my parking sensors or Super Cruise?
The steel fronts keep openings for your factory parking sensors, but Steelcraft will not promise factory-grade readings, since the shape in front of them changes. The aluminum HD Elevation keeps adaptive cruise and the front emblem camera working. The 2022-2026 grille-guard fronts add a removable panel for that camera. The 2022-2026 HD Replacement does not fit Super Cruise trucks, so confirm your trim before you buy.
