Front bumpers fit 1999 to 2004, not 2005
Ford restyled the Super Duty front for 2005. New grille, new fenders, new headlights, new bumper mounts. A front bumper cut for the 1999-2004 trucks will not bolt to a 2005. So every front on this page fits the early body. Confirm your year on the listing, then pick by how you run the truck.
Value replacement. The TrailFX FX3003A is the front price floor at $1,257.07. It is a one-piece steel bumper with an integrated grille guard and a gloss black powder coat. It uses factory hardware, needs no drilling, and takes bolt-on auxiliary lights. TrailFX runs cheaper because it sells as a budget US brand. It is not a winch base.
Winch-ready. The Fab Fours Red Steel FS99-RS1662-1 runs $1,369.99. It is 11-gauge steel with a quarter-inch winch tray and holds a winch up to 12,000 pounds. It weighs 125 pounds, wears a pre-runner guard, and adds shackle mounts. On gauge, a smaller number is thicker steel.
Full guard. The Ranch Hand Legend FBF991BLR runs $2,022.95. Ranch Hand opened in Texas in 1986. The Legend is diamond-plate steel and 4-inch schedule 40 pipe, with a full grille and headlight guard under a powder coat. This is the heavy protection pick.

Rear bumpers fit 1999 through 2016
The rear is the easy end. Ford kept the same rear frame and mounts from 1999 to 2016. Three front-end restyles came and went. The rear never moved. One rear bumper fits a 1999 F450 and a 2016 F350 alike, so you shop by build, not by year.
Value. The Steelcraft Fortis 76-21370 is the rear price floor at $889.00, a straight steel replacement rear.
Heavy plate with recovery. The Fab Fours Premium FS08-W1350-1 runs $1,719.99. It is 3/16-inch US steel and weighs 200 pounds. It carries integrated steps on both sides of the tailgate, 3/4-inch D-ring recovery points, and keeps the factory receiver hitch and wiring.
Sensor-cutout option. The Hammerhead 600-56-0182 runs $1,547.10. It is quarter-inch steel plate, 144 pounds, with reverse lights, tag lights, and steps.
The 1999-2004 F450/F550 left the factory with no rear parking sensors. So you are not tied to a sensor-cutout rear. Those cutout versions cover the newer trucks in the 1999-2016 span. On your truck, the plain steel rear is the right call.

Why do these rear bumpers fit 1999-2016 but the fronts stop at 2004?
Ford restyled the Super Duty front for 2005 with a new grille, fenders, headlights, and bumper mounts, so a 1999-2004 front will not bolt to a 2005. The rear frame never changed. Ford kept the same rear mounts from 1999 through 2016, so one rear bumper covers the whole run. That is why the front is a narrow window and the rear is a wide one.
Do these fit an F450/F550 chassis cab, or only a truck with a bed?
Fronts fit the full 1999-2004 Super Duty front clip, F250 through F550, so a chassis cab takes the same front as a pickup. Rears bolt to the frame. A rear with tailgate steps needs a pickup or upfit bed, since Ford sold the 1999-2004 F450 and F550 as chassis cab with no factory bed. Check your bed setup on each rear listing.
Can I put a 1999-2004 front bumper on a 2005 Super Duty?
