Front Bumpers: The Winch Decision

Start with the winch question. It splits the front lineup in two.

No winch? The Steelcraft Fortis 71-10450 is the value pick at $1,149. It is one-piece six-gauge steel in a bullnose shape, no grille guard. Gauge is steel thickness, and a lower number means thicker plate. It holds a 20-inch light bar and four cube lights, with sensor cutouts pre-drilled where your truck has them. Steelcraft finishes it in e-coat plus powder coat to hold off rust. The Westin Pro-Mod runs $1,249 and takes an optional bolt-on skid plate. The Fab Fours Vengeance is the styling front at $1,790, just 125 pounds of eleven-gauge steel, high and tight to the body. It carries a center light bar but no winch, and it does not cut sensor holes.

Running a winch? The Go Rhino BR6 holds a winch rated up to 12,000 pounds for $1,785. The Fab Fours Premium is the flagship, 3/16-inch and quarter-inch steel with a full guard that wraps the headlights, winch-ready to 10,000 pounds. That full-guard build weighs 250 pounds and is not cut for front sensors. Rear Bumpers: Keep the Hitch and Sensors

The rear is the easier end. Most of these bolt around your factory trailer hitch, so you tow exactly as before.

The Steelcraft Fortis rear starts the lineup at $889. It is one-piece six-gauge steel shaped around the factory hitch, with welded D-ring mounts and a spot for a reverse light. The Fab Fours Premium rear runs $1,050. It is 150 pounds of 3/16-inch steel, keeps the factory hitch and wiring, and builds in a step on each side of the tailgate. Fitment, ZR2, and Install

Your 2015 through 2019 Colorado is the pre-refresh second generation. Chevy restyled the front for 2021, with a bigger grille and a new lower bumper. So these front bumpers fit the 2015 to 2020 trucks, not the 2021 and 2022 front. The rear bumpers are easier, and most carry across the whole 2015 to 2022 run. The 2023 Colorado is a full redesign and shares none of this.

Two fitment notes. The GMC Canyon is the Colorado's twin, so many of these bumpers fit both. The ZR2, from 2017 up, wears a wider front fascia and its own bumpers. Some fronts here are cut for the ZR2 and some are not, so the listing calls out ZR2 fit. Match your truck before you order.
