Which Front Bumper Fits Your Truck

Fab Fours cuts the Black Steel front for six Silverado HD bodies: the 2003-2007 Classic, the 2007.5-2010 truck, the 2011-2014, the 2015-2019, the 2020-2023, and the 2024 and newer HD. All six come in all three shapes. The body you drive never limits what the front end can look like.

Two model years are worth a slow read. In 2007 there are two front bumpers, not one. Chevy carried the older HD into that year and brought its replacement out partway through. Two listings answer that year. One is cut for the 2003-2007 truck, the body Fab Fours calls the Classic. The other starts at 2007.5.

In 2024 the front end changed again, and Fab Fours cut a new part for it. The 2020-2023 bumper does not reach forward. The 2024 bumper does not reach back.

The line starts there. No Black Steel front and no Black Steel rear was ever cut for the older body. Fab Fours does reach those years in another line: its Fab Fours Premium bumpers for the Silverado 2500/3500 page carries a rear that goes back to 1999.

Bolt-on tow hooks come with every front bumper. Fab Fours lists mounts for the factory fog lamps inside them, so the lights you have can move across. The winch tray, the D-ring mounts and the 2-inch receiver all bolt on afterward, each ordered on its own.

No Guard, Pre-Runner Guard, Full Guard

Only the Full Guard carries steel past the headlights. Uprights and a mesh screen stand across the grille, and the frame runs outboard in front of both lights. That is the one to order if the truck works around gates, livestock or deer country. The Pre-Runner Guard adds one raised hoop, mounted on a pair of angled legs, and it covers neither the grille nor the lights. The No Guard adds no structure above the bumper at all.

None of the three changes which years fit. A 2005 truck gets the same three options as the newest one, and all three carry the same steel tread plate under gloss black powder coat.

Front Sensors, and the Panel That Carries Them

The sensor answer is the one thing that moves across this run, and from 2020 it sits in the panel below the bumper rather than in the bumper itself.

No front bumper cut before 2020 has room for the factory front sensors, and Fab Fours states it on each of them. From there it changes. On a 2020, 2021 or 2022 truck the front bumper arrives with the Hi-Flow Lower Guard, and that panel comes with the sensor holes already in it.

A 2023 truck takes the same bumper, but Fab Fours ends the sensor window at 2022. On the 2024 and newer HD the front is sensor compatible again.

That panel carries its own part number. After a hit you replace the panel and the bumper above it never comes off the truck. Fab Fours sells a lower guard vertical plate for the 2007.5-2019 trucks and a separate sensor version for the 2020-2022 trucks.

The Light Lower Guard is another version of the same panel. It holds two 3x3 LED cubes on the 2020 and newer bumpers, and it cannot be run on a truck using the front sensors. The winch tray carries the same limit. Fab Fours says the sensors have to come unplugged once it is mounted.

The Rear Bumper Keeps the Hitch and Refuses One Thing

Five rear bumpers cover the same trucks. Not one of them comes in a second shape. Four match the front bumper years exactly. The fifth, cut for the 2020 truck, carries on through the newest HD, so the 2024 change that split the front leaves the back end alone.

All five are cut from pipe and formed tread plate. Each one works around your receiver hitch instead of replacing it, and your trailer wiring stays put. Back-up lights are part of the bumper. So are the holes for your back-up sensors, on all five.

One limit runs through all five. None of these rear bumpers accommodates blind-spot monitors, and Fab Fours lists that itself on every one. If your HD watches the lane beside you, the rear bumper is where that stops.
