Five Front Bumpers Across the Ram HD Years
Five Ram HD bodies each get their own Black Steel front: the 1994-2002 trucks, the 2003-2005, the 2006-2009, the 2010-2018, and the 2019-2024. All three shapes exist for every one of them. Nothing about your year takes a shape off the table. Gas or diesel, the part number is the same.
The middle of that list is where people slip. Ram changed the nose of the HD for 2006. The grille went with it, and so did the parts that bolt around it. A 2004 Ram and a 2007 Ram take different front bumpers here.
The top end stops sooner than the truck does. Ram gave the HD a new front for 2025. Fab Fours has not cut a Black Steel front for it, so the newest one on this page is the 2024 part.
Lighting moves with the year as well. A 1994-2018 truck keeps its factory fog lamps in the new front. From 2019 the bumper holds a three-inch LED cube on each side instead, and those are ordered on their own.
The tow hooks are part of the front bumper, not an add-on. A winch is not. The tray for it is sold separately. Fab Fours puts the front at about four hours of work.

The Shape Is the Only Free Choice
Branches, gate posts and livestock come at the grille and the headlights. The Full Guard is the only one that covers them. Its steel climbs off the bumper, crosses the grille and wraps each headlight.
The Pre-Runner Guard is a single hoop standing above the center of the bumper. Nothing crosses the grille and nothing reaches the lights. The No Guard has nothing standing on it.
Curbs, parking blocks and loading docks come at the bumper itself. All three take that identically, because under the shape they are one bumper: the same diamond tread plate face, the same two-stage black powder coat, the same mounts. Pick by what reaches your grille.
The 2006 Change Never Reached the Rear Bumper
Four rear bumpers cover the same trucks: 1994-2002, 2003-2009, 2010-2018, and 2019-2024. Three of those line up with the front exactly. The 2003-2009 rear does not. One rear bumper carries the whole 2003 to 2009 span, where the front needs two.
So on a 2006 through 2009 Ram the two listings show two different year ranges, and both are right. Order each end off its own listing and both will fit.
The face is steel tread plate. The lighting is in the box: two six-inch oval LED back-up lights and an LED tag light. All four rear bumpers are listed sensor compatible.
Your hitch does not move. Neither does the wiring behind it. On a truck that tows for a living, that matters more than the steel does.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the front and rear bumpers use the same year ranges?
Not everywhere. The front runs in five spans and the rear in four, and they agree on three of them. They part ways over 2003 to 2009. One rear bumper covers all seven of those years, while the front takes one part for 2003-2005 and another for 2006-2009. On a 2006 through 2009 Ram that means two listings with two different year ranges, both correct for your truck.
Does any of this fit a 2025 or newer Ram HD?
No. Ram put a new front on the HD for 2025, and the Black Steel parts here are listed through the 2024 truck. The Fab Fours catalog has no Black Steel front for that body. For a 2025 or newer Ram 2500 or 3500, start from the Dodge Ram 2500/3500 bumpers page instead.
What comes with the bumper, and what has to be ordered separately?
The front comes with its tow hooks. The rear arrives with its lighting, two six-inch oval LED back-up lights and an LED tag light. Ordered on their own: the winch tray, the D-ring mounts, the two-inch receiver, and on a 2019 and newer truck the LED cubes that stand in for the factory fog lamps.
