Who Takes Which Front Bumper

Every truck from 2009 through 2020 gets all three shapes. Pick by how much of the grille you want covered.

No Guard. The steel stops at bumper height. Nothing stands in front of the grille or the headlights.

Pre-Runner Guard. One tube crosses the center of the grille, carried on two legs off the bumper face. The headlights stay clear.

Full Guard. Steel wraps the grille and both headlights, and a mesh screen fills the grille opening.

If your F150 works around brush, livestock and loading docks, the Full Guard is the one. If you want the tread plate and the tow hooks without covering the grille, order the No Guard. The Pre-Runner Guard sits between them, and it is the shape that reads desert truck.

Your Year Picks the Part. Adaptive Cruise Picks One More.

Fab Fours cuts a different front bumper for each F150 nose, so your model year decides the part number.

2009-2014. All three shapes. Ford had not put adaptive cruise on the F150 yet, so there is nothing extra to order.

2015-2017. All three shapes. 2015 is the year Ford started fitting adaptive cruise to the F150. If your truck has it, the radar has to move, and Fab Fours sells the bracket that moves it, part M3850-1. Chrome grilles do not work with that bracket.

2018-2020. All three shapes. Adaptive cruise moves a different way on these trucks. The KGMOD-1 lower guard replaces the one in the box, and the cruise keeps working.

2021-2023. Full Guard only. Fab Fours never cut the other two shapes for this body. This is the one body that needs no extra part for adaptive cruise, because the relocation bracket is already built into the lower guard. The bumper takes your front parking sensors, and each side has a slot for a 3 by 3 inch LED cube.

Two F150s are out. Ford sold the 3.0 Power Stroke diesel from 2018 to 2021, and no Black Steel front bumper fits one, so it only matters on those four model years. The Raptor is a different truck up front, and Fab Fours gives it bumpers of its own.

Every front from 2009 through 2020 has mounts for the factory fog lights. What ships is the bumper, the lower guard and the tow hooks together, and it is not a one-person lift.

The Rear Bumper Starts With Your Tailpipes

The rear bumper comes one way per body, 2009-2014, 2015-2020 and 2021-2023. Tread plate face again, with a pipe rail across the top. It keeps the factory receiver hitch and the trailer wiring where they are, and it reads your parking sensors on the trucks that have them.

A dual-exhaust F150 cannot run this rear bumper. Walk behind the truck and count the tailpipes: one outlet and you are fine, two and you are not. The 3.0 Power Stroke is out back here too, on the same 2018 to 2021 trucks.

Ford reworked the F150 nose for 2024 and Fab Fours has not followed it with this line, so a 2024 or newer truck takes a bumper from somewhere else. The Ford F150 bumpers page covers those trucks.
