How Much Steel Stands Out Front

Every Black Steel front bumper comes three ways. The bumper underneath is the same one. Only the steel above it changes.

No Guard. Nothing rises above the bumper line, so the truck keeps the sight lines Ford gave it. It is the cheapest of the three.

Pre-Runner Guard. A steel hoop rises over the center of the bumper on two angled legs. The grille and both headlights stay open behind it.

Full Guard. Steel uprights wrap the grille and carry on across both headlights.

The Pre-Runner Guard and the Full Guard are priced the same, so price only separates them from the No Guard. Owners who park downtown and want the front to read factory take the No Guard. Owners who drive county roads at dawn take the Full Guard. The Pre-Runner Guard sits between them: steel over the center of the bumper, nothing over the grille or the lights.

Every Super Duty Body Since 1999

Six front bumpers cover the whole run and there is no hole in it. Each one comes in all three.

1999-2004, the first Super Duty body.
2005-2007 and 2008-2010, two short bodies that each get their own part.
2011-2016, when the 6.7 Power Stroke arrives.
2017-2022, the aluminum-body trucks.
2023 and newer, the current body.

Through the 2022 trucks each of those parts carries the F250 all the way up to the F550. That changes on the newest body, where the front bumper is listed for the F250 and F350 only. It is also the one front Fab Fours marks sensor compatible.

Nothing here splits by engine. Every body gets one front bumper, and the diesel trucks take it exactly as the gas ones do.

One exception lands on the newer trucks. A Tremor that left the factory with a winch has no room for this front, because the winch already fills that space. Ford added the Tremor package in 2020, so it leaves the older blocks alone.

Your factory fog lamps can move over. On the 2017-2022 trucks the install manual has you pull the lamps out of the stock bumper and clip them into brackets behind the mesh, using the original hardware. Fab Fours lists that step as optional, so a 3x3 LED cube goes in the same place if you would rather start fresh.

The front bumper lands on the factory bolt holes and the mount kit drills nothing. Fab Fours writes the lift into the manual as a three-person job and asks for at least a 3/8 inch gap at the fenders and headlights, so leave yourself room to square it up before the bolts go tight.

The winch tray and the D-ring mounts are separate parts, M1650-1 and M1850-1. Order the D-rings with the bumper if you want them: they seat inside the mounting brackets during the install, not after it. And Fab Fours puts one warning of its own on every replacement front, that your sensors will not see the same field they saw before.

The Rear Bumper Has No Options

There is nothing to pick on the back end. One rear bumper per body, one price, no steel over anything.

Three rears cover the truck. The oldest one carries the F250 and F350 from 1999 through 2016. The 2017-2022 rear and the newest rear each take the F450 and F550 as well.

A rear bumper is built from pipe and formed tread plate, gloss black. Your factory receiver hitch and the trailer wiring stay exactly where Ford put them, so nothing about towing changes. Fab Fours lists back-up lights and sensor holes on it.
