The winch does not follow that line. Fab Fours sizes the mount to a Warn Zeon 12, a 12,000-pound winch, and says yours does not have to be a Warn. On a 2010 through 2013 truck it calls for something smaller than that. So the year that picks your part and the year that caps your winch are not the same year.

The engine does not change which part you order. From 2014 up, gas or Cummins, it is the same front bumper. On a 2010 through 2013 Cummins, check with us first.

Pick the Front Bumper by What Has Already Hit Your Grille

The same 3 shapes fit both bodies. No Guard ends where the bumper ends, with the grille left open. The Pre-Runner Guard raises a steel hoop off the bumper ends and runs it below the RAM badge, so nothing crosses the headlights. The Full Guard stands uprights at both sides and carries a bar over the top, framing the grille.

What the steel costs you is camera view. If your Ram has the factory front camera, the Pre-Runner Guard and the Full Guard both stand in it, and Fab Fours calls that minor interference. No Guard leaves the view alone.

So the question is what has already reached your grille. Parking lots and job sites, and No Guard is enough steel. If a limb, a deer or a gate post has got there once, buy the steel that would have stopped it. The hoop guards the bottom of the grille. The Full Guard runs top to bottom.

Budget for the Winch, the Bracket, and the Lights

The front bumper brings the mounts. It does not bring what goes in them, and that is where the rest of the money goes.

You buy the winch on its own, and the bracket after that. With a Warn Zeon the control box will not stay where it sits, and every relocation kit Fab Fours names for that job is a Warn part. Work that out while you are still shopping, not on install day.

Lighting stacks the same way. The center takes one 30-inch bar, single row. Empty the winch mount and a double row will clear.

The ends carry mounting slots and tabs, enough for 4 cube lights at 3 inches square. Fab Fours calls the covers over those openings removable light inserts, and they come out when you have something to put behind them. Not one of those lights ships with the bumper.

Recovery gear is the exception. D-ring mounts are built into the face already.

Then plan the day it lands. The lightest of the 6 weighs 340 pounds and it comes by freight truck, so clear a spot before delivery day. Two people and 3 to 5 hours will do it, into holes the frame already has.
