The Front Bumper Takes a 16,500-Pound Winch

The winch is the point of the Premium front. The mount is rated up to 16,500 pounds, sized around the Warn 16.5ti, and it holds a smaller winch just as well. The face carries a one-inch D-ring anchor on each side for a strap or a shackle. The mount splits into two pieces with adjustment built into it. That lets you dial the bumper level on the truck, not just bolt it to fixed holes.

All three builds carry the same winch. They part ways over how much steel stands above the grille. The No Guard build stays open across the nose, with no steel over the grille. The Pre-Runner build runs a single hoop above the bumper, with space for lights. The Full Guard build fills the grille with steel and stands tallest of the three. What the Model Year Changes Up Front

Two things about the front move with your year: the design and the sensors.

Every earlier truck ran without front sensors, so the plain front is the right one there. The 2019 and newer New Premium reads the factory sensors again. One caution on any sensor front. A shackle or a hook sitting in the fairlead can trip the sensors, and Fab Fours sets them for a lifted truck, so a stock-height Ram usually needs them dialed in.

The Rear Bumper, Back to the 2003 Ram

The rear bumper covers more years than the front. It goes back to the 2003 Ram and forward to the newest HD, across three bodies. Each one is formed 3/16-inch steel, 185 to 200 pounds.

A step sits at each corner by the tailgate, so you reach the bed with nothing extra to add. The bumper keeps the factory hitch receiver and its wiring in place, so a trailer hooks up the same as before. Its corners hold three-quarter-inch D-ring anchors of their own. It does not move a factory backup camera, so if your Ram reads its camera through the bumper, plan to sort that out.

Sensors track the year again. The 2003 through 2009 rear has no sensor option, since those trucks came without rear sensors. On the 2010 through 2018 Rams you pick the sensor rear or the plain one, whichever your truck runs. From 2019 on, the rear is the sensor build, and it plugs back into the factory sensors.

One stretch of years has a rear but no front here. The Premium front starts at the 2010 truck, so a 2003 through 2009 Ram is rear-only from this collection. Engine is no factor otherwise.
