The Front Bumper: Open or Pre-Runner Guard

Every Vengeance front bumper comes two ways, and the choice is about looks and lights.

Want the clean, low look? The open front bumper is a smooth steel bar with no hoop. It shows off the tight, high fit and keeps the front end simple.

Want the desert-truck stance? The pre-runner version adds a raised guard hoop over the center, plus more height to stack lights. A pre-runner guard is the center bar you see on trucks set up to run the desert.

Both are the same 11-gauge steel. Both take the same lights, a 20-inch center bar and cube lights on each side, sold separately. Gauge counts backward: a higher number is a thinner sheet. At 11-gauge, the Vengeance runs lighter than a heavy work front. Through 2023, the open front weighs about 125 pounds and the pre-runner about 150. The pre-runner costs a little more. Neither one takes a winch, so if you want a winch mount, look at Fab Fours' heavier, winch-ready lines instead.

Front Sensors and Cameras, Year by Year

What the Vengeance front does with your truck's electronics depends on the year.

On 2009 to 2020 trucks, the open and pre-runner fronts do not take the factory parking sensors. The F150 added adaptive cruise in 2015. On those 2015 to 2020 trucks, the front needs a small relocation bracket to move the radar. On the 2015 to 2017 trucks, a chrome grille will not clear that bracket.

On 2021 and newer trucks, the front is set up for the electronics. It has pre-drilled sensor holes, room for the 360-degree camera, and it works with adaptive cruise. The pre-runner hoop shows up on the camera screen. For 2024, Ford refreshed the F150's front end, so the newest trucks take their own Vengeance front, and it adds blind-spot monitoring. On a 2024 to 2026 truck, match the bumper to your exact build.

Fab Fours splits the front into year blocks: 2009-2014, 2015-2017, 2018-2020, 2021-2023, and 2024-2026. Order by your year and you have the right part. The cab and bed do not change it. None of the fronts fit the diesel F150, and none fit the Raptor, which runs a wider front end of its own. The bumpers bolt to the frame with the brackets in the box. They are heavy steel, 125 to 150 pounds. Plan on a second person and a couple of hours in the driveway. The Vengeance Rear Bumper

Out back, the Vengeance rear bumper covers 2009 through 2023 in the same 11-gauge steel. It keeps the factory receiver hitch and the trailer wiring, adds LED license-plate lights, and leaves room on each side for cube lights or a pair of 6-inch bars. It reads the factory parking sensors, but Fab Fours sets the sensor mount for lifted trucks, so a stock-height truck often needs the mount tuned. Two limits to know: the rear does not fit a dual-exhaust truck, and there is no Vengeance rear for the 2024 and newer F150 yet.
