A Styling Front Bumper, Not Work Armor

The Vengeance is a look-first front bumper, and it is light on purpose. The steel is 11-gauge, just under an eighth of an inch thick. Fab Fours cuts and shapes it into a high, tight form that hugs the truck's lines. The lower section is opened up. That frees airflow and clears room for bigger tires.

It carries no winch. The Vengeance is about a hard face and a row of lights, not a winch and a recovery strap. To pull a winch onto a truck this size, you want one of Fab Fours' heavy plate fronts, not this one.

Open Nose, or a Bar Over the Grille

Both runs come two ways, and the only real choice is the look.

The No Guard front is the clean one. It sits low and bare, with nothing rising above the bumper, the tightest line Fab Fours cuts for these trucks. At about 125 pounds it is the lighter of the two, and it runs around $2,380.

The Pre-Runner front adds a tubular steel bar that arcs over the center of the grille. Your headlights stay open, out to the sides. The bar gives the truck a taller, harder face and a high spot to mount lights. It weighs about 150 pounds and runs around $2,570.

If you want the bumper to sit quiet and low, take the No Guard. If you are stacking lights or want the bar across the grille, the Pre-Runner is the one. Either way the lighting is built in: a slot in the center holds a 20-inch light bar, and a tab on each side takes a pair of cube lights. The lights are sold separately.

Match the Bumper to Your Year

Fab Fours cuts the Vengeance in two runs for the F450 and F550. One covers the 2011 to 2016 trucks, the other the 2017 to 2022 trucks. Order by your year and the bumper bolts to the factory mounts, dually or single wheel, whatever cab you run. The engine does not change the part. A 6.7 Power Stroke takes the same front as a gas truck.

The line stops at 2022. Ford redesigned the Super Duty for 2023, a new body with a new front end, and Fab Fours has not cut a Vengeance for the 2023 and newer F450 or F550 yet. For those trucks, the full Super Duty page has the brands that fit.

On the 2017 to 2022 trucks, check your electronics first. The front works with the factory 360-degree camera on the 2017 to 2020 models. It is not set up for front parking sensors. If your truck has adaptive cruise, the 2017 to 2019 models take a bracket that moves the radar, and a chrome grille will not clear that bracket. There is no bracket for the 2020 trucks.

Every one ships free by freight. It is a bolt-on: the mounting hardware kit and instructions ride in the box, and the bumper lines up on the factory bolt holes, no welding. Fab Fours puts the job at three to five hours with two people, since the steel is heavy to lift to the frame.
