The Front Bumper Choice Is Widest on a 2010-2018 Ram
Xtreme, 138 pounds. The lightest front bumper here. One-piece steel carrying a low-profile grille guard across the face. One version is set up for a Rigid 20-inch E-Series light bar and keeps the factory park sensors.
Original, 186 pounds. The diamond-plate face, holding on to your factory tow hooks and fog lights, and it clears the factory park sensors. It also comes in a light-bar version.
Pro, 270 pounds. Smooth plate over diamond plate, with a 2-inch receiver welded into the face. That receiver is the one thing the other two do not have.
Least weight on the front axle: the Xtreme. A front receiver you can drop a hitch mount into: the Pro. Everything between, with the fog lights and tow hooks you already have: the Original. All three go on without drilling, with the mounting hardware in the box.
Two things trim this list. None of the three carries a winch mount. And none of them is listed for the Power Wagon, which leaves the factory with a Warn winch already mounted behind its front bumper. Frontier spells that out on the Pro.
Front Bumpers for the Older Trucks, and the 2009 Hole
The Original covers the older trucks in three spans: 1996 to 2002, 2003 to 2005, and 2006 to 2008.
Weight climbs from 165 to 185 pounds across those spans. One restriction sits on the oldest: that part does not fit the Sport model.
The Xtreme joins at 2003 and runs to 2008, still at 138 pounds. Frontier lists that same part for the Dodge Ram 1500 of those years.
Then the fitment stops. There is nothing here for a 2009 Ram 2500 or 3500, front or rear. Frontier picks the truck back up at 2010.
The 2019 Body: a Heavier Original and the Commercial Front Bumper
The 2019 through 2024 trucks get the Original and the Commercial. The Original comes back heavier, 210 pounds against 186 on the older body. The Commercial is pipe-built and the heaviest front bumper on this page at 285 pounds, with its own welded 2-inch receiver. Both clear the factory park sensors and both work with or without the front camera.
Take the Commercial if the truck works for a living and you want that receiver. Take the Original if you want the diamond-plate face and nothing else about the front end changed.
Neither is listed for the Power Wagon. And the 2025 refresh brought a new grille and new headlights: Frontier builds a separate set of part numbers for those trucks, and this page does not carry them.
The Diamond Rear Bumper: One Span Needs a Single Exhaust
The Diamond rear bumper mounts to the frame and leaves your factory hitch usable. The 2003-2008 and 2010-2020 spans each come two ways, with LED back-up lights included or with the lights sold separately.
2003 to 2008. 78 pounds, and no sensor provision.
2010 to 2020. 84 pounds, holes for the factory sensors, and a corner assist step. Two conditions ride along: it wants a single exhaust, and it will not fit a truck carrying six park assist sensors.
2019 to 2024. 84 pounds, holes for all six factory sensors, LED back-up lights, corner assist step.
On a 2019 or 2020 Ram the two spans overlap and the sensor count settles it. Six sensors across the back means the 2019 to 2024 part. Fewer than six opens up the older one, and the single-exhaust condition comes with it. Both spans list the Power Wagon.
The Grille Guard Line Starts at 2010
The guard bolts to the frame ahead of the factory bumper and leaves it in place. No drilling, and the hardware comes with it.
On a 2010 to 2018 truck your front sensors decide. The 115-pound guard will not take them. The 122-pound guard has the cutouts.
For a 2019 to 2024 truck the guard weighs 120 pounds, takes the sensors, and works with or without the front camera. Punched steel screen over the grille, tubing wrapping the headlights. It also lists the Power Wagon, which makes it the one way a Power Wagon owner puts Frontier steel out front.
These pieces run 78 to 285 pounds, so plan on help before you start. Shipping is free inside the US. Frontier is one of several brands that fit this truck, and the Dodge Ram 2500/3500 bumper hub holds the rest.
Frequently Asked Questions
My truck is a 2009. Why does nothing show up?
Because Frontier's fitment for this truck runs through 2008, then picks up again at 2010, front and rear alike. Other brands do cover 2009, so start at the model hub linked above.
My Ram has six rear parking sensors. Which Diamond rear bumper fits?
The 2019 to 2024 part, which is cut for six. The 2010 to 2020 rear bumper states outright that it will not fit a truck with six park assist sensors. So on a 2019 or 2020 Ram, count the sensors before you pick by year.
I have a Power Wagon. What fits it here?
The Diamond rear bumper and the 2019 to 2024 grille guard both list it. No front bumper on this page does. The Power Wagon leaves the factory with a Warn winch mounted behind its front bumper, and Frontier rules the trim out by name on the Pro.
