Ranch Hand Front Bumpers for the Ram 1500
Ranch Hand makes three front bumpers for the Ram 1500. Which one fits comes down to the year and the look you want.
Legend. This is the grille-guard front bumper for the classic Rams. It is built from diamond-plate steel and heavy 4-inch steel pipe. A 2-inch hitch receiver lets you still pull a trailer. The Legend front fits the 1994-2001 Ram, and the 2006-2009 Mega Cab takes its own version, made for that longer cab. Pick the Legend if you run an older Ram and want a full grille guard up front.
Summit. This is the clean full-width front for the modern Ram, with no grille guard. It covers the 2013-2018, 2019-2024, and 2025-2026 trucks in heavy steel. The Summit bolts on with a plate system and reuses your factory tow hooks. It includes brackets for both fog-lamp styles. On trucks with adaptive cruise, a supplied bracket relocates the sensor. The 2013-2018 Summit does not fit the Sport or Express trims. Pick the Summit for strong front coverage with a smooth, stock-style face.
Midnight. This is the blackout front, the same heavy steel in a black powder coat. It fits the 2019-2024 Ram, with or without a grille guard, so you choose the look. Removable inserts carry over your factory sensors. Pick the Midnight for a darkened front on a newer Ram 1500.
A few fitment notes. On the 2002-2008 trucks, Ranch Hand covers the rear, and the Summit front picks up at 2013. The 2019-2023 Ram 1500 Classic is the prior body, sold next to the redesigned truck. It takes the 2013-2018 front, not the 2019-2024 one. The TRX and its RHO successor use a wider, model-specific front end, so the standard Ram 1500 fronts are not made to fit them.
Ranch Hand Rear Bumpers for the Ram 1500, Matched to Your Exhaust
The rear is where the Ram 1500 has one extra step. On the newer trucks, the bumper has to match how your exhaust exits.
Sport. This is the rear for most years, lighter and more streamlined than a front bumper. It fits the 2002-2008, 2009-2018, and 2019-2024 trucks and bolts straight on. The 2009-2018 Sport rears leave room for your factory park sensors.
Midnight. This is the blackout rear for the 2019-2024 Ram, the match for a Midnight front.
Legend. The classic Rams also take a Legend rear, on the 1994-2001 and 2003-2008 trucks.
Here is the part to get right. On the 2019-2024 Ram 1500, the Sport and Midnight rears each come two ways. One fits trucks whose exhaust exits out the side. The other fits trucks whose exhaust exits out the rear. Look under your truck before you order, and the matching version drops in clean. Frequently Asked Questions
Will a Ranch Hand bumper fit my 2015 Ram 1500?
Yes. A 2015 Ram 1500 takes the Summit full-width front and the Sport rear. Both are heavy steel and bolt on with the included hardware. Plan a few hours in the driveway, and grab a second set of hands for the heavier front.
Will a Ranch Hand Ram 2500 bumper fit my Ram 1500?
No. The Ram 1500 and the Ram 2500 sit on different frames with a different front end, so the bumpers are not interchangeable. For the heavy-duty trucks, see the Ranch Hand options on the Dodge Ram 2500/3500 page.
Does Ranch Hand make a grille-guard bumper for the Ram 1500?
Yes. On the classic Rams, the Legend front is a full grille-guard bumper in heavy steel pipe, for the 1994-2001 trucks and the 2006-2009 Mega Cab. On the 2019-2024 Ram, the Midnight front comes with or without a grille guard, so you pick the look.
