Which Ram 1500 Do You Have?

Steelcraft sorts the Ram 1500 by its front end. Match your truck before you pick a series.

2013-2018 Ram 1500. All three series fit here, front and rear.

2019-2024 Ram 1500. The redesigned body takes its own fronts and rears, in all three series.

2019-2024 Ram 1500 Classic. The Classic is the older body, sold next to the new truck through these years. It takes the same bumpers as the 2013-2018 Ram, not the redesigned ones. Check the truck, not just the year, because both were on the lot at the same time.

2025-2026 Ram 1500. Steelcraft already has the front covered, in the HD Elevation and the HD Replacement. There is no Fortis or rear option for these years yet.

Out back, Steelcraft goes all the way to 2009. The front bumpers start at 2013. So a 2009-2012 Ram takes a Steelcraft rear, but not a front. These bumpers fit the standard truck and leave out the Rebel and Warlock trims.

One Open Bumper, Two Grille-Guard Fronts

On the front, the real choice is guard or no guard. Steelcraft gives you one open bumper and two with grille guards.

Fortis. This is the low, clean bumper, and it is the only one without a guard. The front runs 6-gauge steel, and gauge runs backwards: the lower the number, the thicker the plate. The D-ring shackle mounts are welded on, a 20-inch light bar drops into the center cutout, and your factory parking sensors keep their space. Its price sits at the bottom of the three. Want the truck sleek and bare up front? That is the Fortis.

HD Elevation. Here the full grille guard arrives on smooth flat steel, a mesh window over the grille and wrap bars at the headlights. The center opening fits a 20-inch light bar, and the parking sensors stay. It comes two ways. The steel version is the standard pick. The aluminum version costs more, yet it weighs far less and ignores the road salt that eats steel from the inside. Want the guard without the bulky work-truck look? This is the cleaner of the two, and in a salt state the aluminum pays for itself.

HD Replacement. This is the heavy one. Diamond-plate steel forms the base, heavy pipe rings each headlight, and a mesh screen covers the grille. It gives the most front-end protection of the three and handles work, towing, and brush. It bolts on, though some trucks need a little trimming, and the instructions show you where. None of the rears carry a guard. All three clear the factory hitch and keep the rear sensors working. The HD Replacement rear weighs about 146 pounds, so plan on a second person when it goes up.

One note on sensors. The cutouts are there for the factory front sensors, but Steelcraft will not guarantee they behave exactly like stock behind a different shell. Plan a couple of hours to install, and grab a second set of hands for the heavy front. The bumpers ship by freight.
