Every Front Bumper Here Is a Fortis. The Choice Is the Hoop.

There is no series to pick up front. The Fortis is it: a low bullnose in 6-gauge steel. Six gauge is just under a fifth of an inch of plate; the gauge scale runs backward, so smaller numbers are thicker. If you came for a full grille guard, this lineup does not have one. No Tacoma front bumper here wraps the grille.

The face takes most 20-inch double-row LED light bars, with pedestal mounts for four 3-inch cube lights. Lights come separately. D-ring shackle mounts are part of the bumper, and the unit bolts straight to the frame. None of these lists a winch mount; recovery runs through the shackle points.

On a 2016-2023 truck you choose between two builds at one price. The standard build keeps the profile low. The HP build adds a fully welded bullnose hoop with light tabs, for stacking more light up high. One hard stop: the hoop does not fit a TRD Pro running Toyota Safety Sense, the camera-and-radar assist package. Drive that truck? Take the standard front. A 2005-2015 truck skips the question, since its front comes one way.

Every piece on this page wears the same two-layer finish: an e-coat base sealed under textured matte black powder. Rust has to get through both.

Ten Dollars Between the Two Rear Bumpers

The back of the truck is where the real decision sits. The Fortis rear is $889. The HD Elevation rear is $899. The price gap settles nothing, so the work decides.

The Fortis rear bumper carries the same 6-gauge steel as the front, plus D-ring mounts and pedestals ready for 3-inch cube reverse lights. Owners who strap, tow, and recover off the back end land here. On 2016-2023 trucks it also works with parking sensors and blind-spot sensors.

The HD Elevation rear trades shackles for steps. Corner steps are formed into the bumper, so climbing into the bed gets easier, and a mount stands ready for a 2-inch LED reverse light. Parking sensors keep working. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert do not: on 2016-2023 trucks the Elevation rear does not accommodate either system. If your Tacoma has those warnings, the choice is already made. Take the Fortis rear.

Both rears keep your factory trailer hitch and your license plate in place.

Your Year Is in the Part Number

Steelcraft's numbering does the fitment work for you. Tacoma parts ending in 370 fit the 2005-2015 trucks. Parts ending in 420 fit 2016-2023. The pattern holds for the front bumper and both rears, so either truck can run steel at both ends with no year guessing.
