Steelcraft Bumpers for GMC Sierra 2500/3500

14 products

Showing 1 - 14 of 14 products

Three times since 2015, GMC has changed the Sierra HD's front end. Steelcraft cut new front bumpers at each change: one set for 2015-2019, one for 2020-2023, one for the 2024-2026 trucks. The rear bumpers run on a longer clock, in two spans that reach back to 2011. The HD Elevation and the HD Replacements put a full grille guard on the front bumper; the third series, the Fortis, does not. No bumper on this page excludes the Denali. Steelcraft started in Southern California in 1998. You pay for the bumper, not the freight, and the fit is guaranteed to your year.

What More Money Buys on the Front Bumper

The price list sorts the three series on its own. The Fortis costs the least by a wide margin. The two guard fronts, HD Replacements and HD Elevation, land close together on price. One aluminum bumper stands alone at the top. So money settles the first question, guard or no guard, and hardware settles the rest.

The Fortis is the low buy: 6-gauge plate, welded into one piece. Gauge reads like a golf score, the smaller number is the heavier steel. You get D-ring shackle mounts, a slot sized for a 20-inch light bar, and pedestals for four small cube lights. Two trades come with it. The factory tow hooks do not carry over, the shackle mounts stand in for them. And the Fortis front ends at the 2023 trucks, though its rear bumper carries on to 2026. A bare steel nose with recovery points and light mounts, nothing standing over the grille. If that list reads complete to you, the Fortis settles it.

Spend up to the HD Replacements and the money goes into hardware. The full grille guard rides on a diamond-plate base, framed in schedule 40 pipe, a thick-walled round stock. A receiver sits in the face of the bumper, and it takes slide-in accessories the way a rear hitch does. Factory tow hooks and fog lights stay. Steelcraft publishes 295 pounds for the 2015-2019 bumper and 324 for the 2024-2026 one. Owners who keep gear mounted on the nose of a work truck end up on this one.

The HD Elevation spends the same dollars on the build instead. Same full guard over the grille, no receiver, a smoother plate face with a punched screen, and the hooks and fog lights stay put here too. On the 2020-and-up versions, Steelcraft lists the metal in millimeters: 3.5 in the plate, 2.5 in the wing tube. The 2015-2019 steel bumper logs about 247 pounds. If the guard is the whole point and hardware is not, the Elevation fills that order.

The aluminum Elevation owns the top price, the same guard layout cut in lighter metal, and Steelcraft offers it for the 2015-2019 trucks only. Where the county salts the road five months a year, that is the bumper with the longest future.

Three Front Bumper Eras, Two Rear Bumper Runs

Front fitment splits where GMC redrew the truck's face: 2015, 2020, and 2024. A 2015-2019 Sierra HD has the deepest bench, all three series plus the aluminum option. A 2020-2023 truck picks from the three steel fronts. A 2024-2026 truck picks between the HD Elevation and the HD Replacements, since the Fortis front stops after 2023 and the aluminum after 2019.

Nothing up front fits 2011-2014. The front bumper lineup starts at the 2015 facelift and does not reach behind it. Those older trucks shop the back half instead: both long-run rear bumpers begin at 2011. Before 2011, nothing on this page fits, front or rear.

The rear bumpers move on that slower clock, two spans covering 2011-2019 and 2020-2026. The older span holds two. The Fortis rear runs 6-gauge steel at about 100 pounds, with shackle mounts and pedestals for cube reverse lights. The HD Elevation rear builds a corner step into each end for reaching the bed. The 2020-2026 span keeps both and adds the HD Replacements rear, a plainer bumper on schedule 40 pipe. All three sit around the factory hitch, so towing does not change. Picking among them is simple: daily bed access means the corner steps, recovery straps mean the Fortis, and a clean swap with nothing extra means the HD rear.

One part here pulls double duty: Steelcraft lists the 2011-2019 Fortis rear for the Chevy Silverado HD and the GMC Sierra HD both. Same bumper, either badge.

Denali, Camera, Tailgate: the GMC Equipment Check

What GMC bolted to your truck decides as much as the year does. Run this list before ordering.

Denali and the diesels. Where Steelcraft spells out trims, the wording repeats: fits all models, Denali and diesels included. Not one bumper on this page carries a Denali exclusion, and none excludes the Duramax.

The front camera. On 2020-and-up trucks, both guard fronts include a removable panel at the emblem, which leaves the front parking camera a clear line of sight. The Fortis sits below the grille and never touches the emblem.

Park sensors. Every front bumper here has openings for them, and Steelcraft attaches its standing caveat: a bumper shaped differently from stock can change how the sensors read. The 2020-2026 rears make space for parking and blind-spot sensors too.

Super Cruise. All three 2020-2026 rear bumpers exclude trucks running Super Cruise, the hands-free highway system. The exclusion starts with the 2022 models.

The MultiPro tailgate. On the HD Replacements rear, the fold-out step in GMC's MultiPro tailgate can interfere. The other two rears carry no such note.

Dual exhaust. On 2020-2026 trucks, factory dual exhaust tips come off with the factory rear bumper.

The install math reads the same across the page: bolt-on brackets, hardware in the kit. The published window is three to five hours, and the steel is heavy enough that lifting it alone is a bad plan. A few applications take a trim cut, and the instructions flag them. Finishes split by series, matte texture on the Fortis and the Elevation, semi-gloss black on the HD Replacements fronts. Under either one sits an e-coat dip, the base layer that fights rust.

Steelcraft backs the structure for life and the finish for a year, and BumperStock sells the line as an authorized dealer. Freight anywhere in the US is included. The full GMC Sierra 2500/3500 bumper page puts every brand for this truck on one grid.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a Steelcraft front bumper fit a Sierra HD Denali?

Yes. Where Steelcraft lists trims, the Denali is named as included, and no fit note here excludes it. Diesel changes nothing either, a Duramax truck orders the same part. On a 2020 or newer Denali, check the front camera. The HD Elevation and HD Replacements front bumpers handle it with a removable panel in the guard, right at the emblem.

Do Steelcraft Silverado HD bumpers fit the Sierra HD?

Up front, no. The two trucks wear different front ends, and Steelcraft cuts separate part numbers for each. The rear is the exception: the 2011-2019 Fortis rear bumper is one part listed for both the Silverado HD and the Sierra HD. If the driveway holds the Chevy, the Steelcraft Silverado 2500/3500 page covers that side.

Is there a winch-ready Steelcraft front bumper for the Sierra HD?

No. None of the front bumpers here carries a winch tray, in any year. The closest thing is the receiver built into every HD Replacements front, which accepts receiver-mount accessories. If a mounted winch is the requirement, this lineup does not check that box, and it is better you know before the freight truck arrives.
