Every Front Bumper Here Takes a Winch

The winch mount comes with the bumper, so it is there whether you fill it now or later. It holds a Warn Zeon 12 or anything smaller.

Run a Warn Zeon and you also need the Control Box Relocation kit, part 89960. Any winch with a similar housing needs the same kit, so price it in before you order. Integrated D-ring mounts give you proper recovery points.

Plate steel is measured in fractions of an inch, not in gauge numbers. This one is 3/16 of an inch, a little under a quarter inch. The lower section is cut open, which moves air through and clears a taller tire.

The Center Mount Takes a 30-Inch Light Bar

A single-row 30-inch bar drops into the center mount. Skip the winch and a double-row bar fits there instead. Lights are never included with any of these.

What the sides hold changes with the truck:

• 2016-2018. Slots and tabs for 2 cube lights per side, 3x3 each.
• 2019-2021. A single cube light per side.
• 2022 and newer. 2 lights, 2x3 each.

The light openings are removable inserts. Leave them in for a closed look, pull them out when you want to fill them.

The Pre-Runner Guard and Your Front Camera

Both versions accept the factory front camera. The difference is what sits in front of it. The pre-runner guard is tubular steel running across the center of the bumper, and it crosses the camera's view. Fab Fours calls that out as minor camera interference. The open version leaves the view alone.

You give something up either way. Open keeps the camera view clean. The pre-runner guard covers the center and clips that view a little. Use that camera every day and go open; push through brush and take the steel.

No full grille guard version appears on this page. Open or pre-runner guard, that is the whole choice.

2016-2018, 2019-2021, 2022 and Newer

Each body takes its own part. Start with your years.

• 2016-2018. Sensor cutouts are built in, so there is nothing extra to work out. Chevy sold these years with the 4.3L V6, the 5.3L V8 and the 6.2L V8, and none of them is turbocharged. A body kit is the only thing that rules the bumper out. A suspension lift is fine.
• 2019-2021. Same 2 faces, now for the redesigned body. Careful with 2019: Chevy also sold the carryover Silverado 1500 LD that year, and it keeps the older front end. These parts are cut for the new body, so if your 2019 looks like a 2018, check fit before you order.
• 2022 and newer. The lineup splits again, this time on sensors. Order the sensor version if your front bumper has factory parking sensors and the non-sensor version if it does not. Walk out and look: the sensors are the round buttons set into the bumper. Super Cruise also arrived on the Silverado 1500 in 2022, and the Matrix does not work with it.

One check applies to every 2019 and newer truck. Chevy added a turbo 4-cylinder in 2019 and the Duramax diesel in 2020, and the Matrix is not made for either one. Look under the hood before you order.

Sierra 1500 owners have their own Matrix parts. The 2 trucks do not share these bumpers.
