The Front Bumper Comes Down to Sonar
Up front, the Vengeance comes two ways. The real difference is your front sonar. Sonar is Toyota's name for the front parking sensors.
The open front is a low bar of steel, no hoop. It keeps your factory front sonar working. It weighs about 125 pounds, the lighter of the two.
The pre-runner guard front adds a raised steel hoop across the center. You get the desert-truck stance and a center slot for a 20-inch light bar, sold separately. It weighs about 150 pounds. One catch sits on it: Fab Fours flags that the guard interferes with the Tundra front sonar. You cannot keep both.
Both fronts are the same 11-gauge US steel under a black powder coat. On the gauge scale, the number drops as the steel gets thicker. At 11-gauge, this is heavy plate, not thin sheet.
So the front call is clean. If you lean on the front sonar to park, stay with the open front. If you want the hoop and the stance more than the sonar, the guard is the trade. Neither front takes a winch. Fab Fours puts winch duty on its heavier builds.
Each front bolts straight to the frame, no drilling. The box holds the bumper, the brackets, and the instructions. Figure three to five hours and a helper to set the steel on.
The Rear Bumper: Sensor-Ready or Not
Out back, the Vengeance rear ties into your factory hitch and wiring, so you can still tow. Each side takes a cube light, sold separately. The rear comes one of two ways, and your truck tells you which.
The sensor-ready rear has cutouts for the factory rear parking sensors. The non-sensor rear bumper has a clean face, for trucks without them. Match the rear to what your truck already runs. Rear parking sensors back there, take the sensor-ready rear. None of them, the non-sensor rear bolts on cleaner.
One thing to plan for. None of these rears keep the factory blind-spot monitoring working. That is the system that watches the lane beside you. Fab Fours flags it on every rear, so plan for it if your Tundra has it.
A word on lifted trucks. The rear sensor brackets come set for a truck with a suspension lift. On a stock-height Tundra, plan to adjust them.
Which Tundra You're Working With
Fab Fours sorts the Tundra into three ranges. Your part number marks which one: TT07, TT14, or TT22.
The 2007-2013 and 2014-2021 trucks are one generation. Toyota refreshed the nose in between, so they take different fronts. The 2022 and newer Tundra is the full redesign, a different truck.
What you can run shifts a little by range. The 2007-2013 trucks take an open or guard front and a non-sensor rear. The 2014-2021 trucks take the full set: open or guard front, sensor or non-sensor rear. The 2022 and newer trucks take an open or guard front and the sensor-ready rear.
Each bumper below lists the exact years it fits. Match your years first, then pick the look. Fab Fours backs every Vengeance with its limited warranty. The full Toyota Tundra bumpers page holds every brand we carry for this truck, if you want the wider view.
And for the year map itself, the Toyota Tundra bumper fitment guide settles which truck you have.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Vengeance bumpers fit my Tundra's year?
Fab Fours splits the Tundra into three ranges. The 2007-2013 trucks take an open or pre-runner guard front and a non-sensor rear. The 2014-2021 trucks take both fronts and either rear, sensor or non-sensor. The 2022 and newer trucks take both fronts and the sensor-ready rear. The part number marks the range: TT07, TT14, or TT22. Each bumper below lists its exact years.
Does the pre-runner guard interfere with the Tundra's front sonar?
Yes. Fab Fours flags that the pre-runner guard front interferes with the Tundra front sonar, the factory front parking sensors. To keep the sonar, run the open front instead. It carries no hoop and leaves the front sensors working. The guard gives you the raised stance and a taller light mount, but not alongside the front sonar.
Can I put a Tundra Vengeance bumper on my Tacoma?
No. The Tundra is a full-size truck and the Tacoma is midsize, so the bumpers do not interchange. For the smaller truck, see the Fab Fours Vengeance Tacoma bumpers.
