Four Front Bumper Builds, Winch Tray or Not
Low profile. The commuter build. An open face of steel plate, no hoop, and the lowest price of the four.
Pre-runner. A hoop raised over the center. Owners stacking lights or running trails land here.
Formed guard. This one swaps the hoop for solid 11-gauge sheet, thinner than the 3/16 inch plate in the bumper body, so the guard stays light. It reads as one piece of steel, and it exists on the 2018-2023 fronts only. It suits the owner who wants guard coverage without guard weight.
Full brush guard. The maximum coverage build. It always comes winch-ready, and it carries the top price of the four. Ranch miles, brush lanes, work sites: that is what this build is for.
The winch fork. Winch-ready fronts carry a tray for the winch. The non-winch versions save money but take no winch and no front receiver later. Some winch-ready fronts also accept Hammerhead's front receiver hitch in place of the winch; the listing says so when it applies.
Lights, steel, and one caveat. Light mounts are spread through the line: fog light holes, tabs on the hoops, and slots for a 20 inch bar in the center. Each listing names its own set. The steel is 3/16 inch plate on the 1992-2020 fronts; the 2021-2023 fronts list 7-gauge plate, about the same thickness. Everything wears a slip-resistant textured black powder coat. The caveat comes straight from Hammerhead: oversized aftermarket fender flares are not guaranteed to clear the outer tubes of the full brush guard.
Which Years Are Covered, and Where the Line Breaks
1992-1996. The oldest fronts fit the OBS trucks, short for old body style. Ford shared that body across the F-series and Bronco, and Hammerhead lists the same fronts for the F250, F350, and Bronco of those years. One note from the factory in Mississippi: a truck on front leaf springs needs a mount kit, so read the leaf-spring line on the listing before ordering.
1997-2003. The first break. Hammerhead makes nothing for these trucks, front or rear.
2004-2008. Coverage picks back up. This body gets low profile and pre-runner fronts but no guard builds.
2009-2014. The full ladder short of the formed guard. From 2011, the EcoBoost trucks take their own fronts: Hammerhead shapes them to feed the intercooler more air, in winch and no-tray versions. A truck without the EcoBoost runs the standard 2009-2014 bumper instead.
2015-2020. The aluminum-body years split into 2015-2017 and 2018-2020 fronts, and their vents feed the radiator and the intercooler on EcoBoost engines. Here the adaptive cruise wall starts. Ford put adaptive cruise on the F150 option sheet in 2015, and every Hammerhead front from 2015 on carries the same manufacturer note: it does not work with adaptive cruise control. No relocation kit exists. A truck without the option loses nothing.
2021-2023. The newest body in the line keeps all four builds behind the same adaptive cruise rule.
2024 and newer. The front bumper line stops at 2023. For the refreshed trucks, Hammerhead builds grille guards and push bars instead of replacement bumpers, and BumperStock does not carry those.
Rear Bumpers: Sensor Cutouts and One Long Span
The rear bumper coverage runs 1988-1996, then 2006-2014, then 2015-2023. The 1997 gap applies out back too, and it runs longer, through 2005. From 2006 on, every rear is cut for the factory parking sensors.
Each era offers a standard and a flush-mount profile. All of them include tag lights, unless the OEM tag lights carry over, plus shackle mounts.
The 2015-2023 rears span two truck generations in one part, so a 2016 and a 2022 order the same way: by year. That span also holds a weight choice: quarter-inch plate builds around 120 to 130 pounds, or a 12-gauge build at 70 pounds with 7-gauge mounting hardware.
Install runs the same front and rear. The bumper hangs on factory mounting points, and the plate builds weigh enough that a second set of hands earns its keep. Free US shipping and a guaranteed fit come standard. To see how the other brands answer the same truck, start at the Ford F150 bumper page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if my F150 has adaptive cruise control?
Then the 2015-2023 fronts here are off the table. Hammerhead states that these front bumpers do not work with adaptive cruise control, and no relocation kit exists for the radar. The rear bumpers are not affected. A truck without the option is not affected either.
Why is there no Hammerhead front bumper for the 2024 or 2025 F150?
Hammerhead's replacement bumper line for this truck ends with the 2021-2023 body. For the refreshed 2024 and newer F150, the brand builds grille guards and push bars instead of full bumpers, and BumperStock does not carry those. The rear bumper line also stops at 2023.
Do any of these bumpers fit the F250 or the Bronco?
The 1992-1996 fronts do. Ford shared that body across the F-series and Bronco, and Hammerhead lists the same fronts for all of them. Everything from 2004 on is F150-specific. For the newer heavy trucks, see the Hammerhead F250 and F350 Super Duty bumpers.
