How to Choose Your Ranch Hand Bumper for the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD

Ranch Hand fits the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD with four series. Each one does a different job.

Legend. Ranch Hand's heaviest steel, and the front bumper that covers the most years on these trucks, from the 1988-1998 models to the 2024-2026 trucks. Built from 4-inch steel pipe and diamond-plate, a current Legend front runs about 318 lbs and has a 2-inch receiver for a tow hook or winch mount. Older HD trucks through 2014 also have a matching Legend rear. Pick Legend if you want the toughest, heaviest front Ranch Hand makes for an HD truck. On 2024-2026 trucks it keeps the front parking sensors and works with the factory camera and adaptive cruise.

Summit. The diamond-plate front bumper, offered for the 2007-2010, 2015-2019, and 2020-2025 HD trucks. At about 200 lbs it is lighter than the Legend, it bolts on, and it keeps the factory front parking sensors. A grille-guard version is available. Pick Summit for solid front protection without the full weight of the Legend. It will not fit a truck with a body lift.

Sport. The HD truck is where Sport adds a winch. The 2015-2019 Sport front carries a grille guard and accepts a winch up to 15,000 lbs, in formed channel and diamond-plate steel at about 298 lbs. Sport also makes the rear bumper, sold from 2007 through 2026, lighted with LED and keeping the rear parking sensors. Pick the Sport front if you run a winch, or the Sport rear for tow and recovery protection. The 2020-2026 Sport rear fits trucks with side exhaust only.

Midnight. The blacked-out series for 2015-2023 HD trucks, in 7-gauge steel (thicker than the diamond-plate Summit; with steel, a lower gauge number means thicker metal) with a matte black finish. The front comes with or without a grille guard, and there is a matching rear. On 2020-2023 trucks the front keeps the parking sensors and works with the factory camera and adaptive cruise. Pick Midnight for a 2015-2023 HD truck when you want the clean, blacked-out look.
