What the Fab Fours Premium Is
The Premium is Fab Fours' winch bumper, the one built around recovery and lighting instead of a bare guard. The face is 3/16-inch plate steel, heavier than the steel on the lighter series, and that thickness is what carries the winch. Behind it sits a reinforced steel tray built in for the winch, with the winch itself bought separately to match the truck. A pair of one-inch D-ring mounts gives a tow strap or shackle a place to hook. Fab Fours has cut and welded the Premium in Lancaster, South Carolina since before Warn Industries bought the company in 2021. Warn builds winches, and the Premium is the Fab Fours bumper made to carry one. Across the trucks we ship, the Premium sells hard at both ends, front and rear, and hardest of all on work trucks and midsize rigs, from the Ford Super Duty to the Silverado and Sierra HD.
Why Owners Choose the Premium
Owners reach for the Premium when a guard alone isn't enough. A stock bumper is a painted cover that folds on the first real hit. It carries a winch big enough to drag the truck off a trail, or another rig out of the mud, on plate steel bolted straight to the frame. The fog lights and turn signals sit in the bumper's own molded housings.
It carries more winch than anything else Fab Fours makes, and the price follows the steel. You buy it once, and it works the day it bolts up. If you want the Fab Fours look without a winch, and less weight up front, that's the Vengeance. Get the Premium when you want the winch and the recovery built in.
The Premium Guards, and Which to Pick
There are three front faces and a matching rear. Every front face is winch-ready, so the choice comes down to the grille, and how much steel you want standing over it. It fits half-tons like the Ram 1500 and Ford F150, and the heavy-duty trucks it was made for, the three-quarter and one-ton Super Duty, Silverado and Sierra HD, and Ram 2500 and 3500.
Full Guard
Steel wraps up and over the grille and the headlights both. No Premium face gives up more of the front, and it's the heaviest of the three, a winch behind a full guard for the truck that pushes brush, runs backcountry, and takes hits up front.
Pre-Runner Guard
A single raised bar stands across the center of the grille, the desert-truck look, without reaching over the headlights. It shields the grille and leaves the winch in view, and it rides between the full guard and the open face in weight.
No Guard
The bumper alone, winch and all, with nothing over the grille. Lowest and cleanest of the three, for the owner who wants the winch and the lights up front without a hoop on top.
Rear Bumpers
Out back, a matching rear runs in sensor and non-sensor versions where the truck needs them. The rear is a big part of why owners pick the Premium, and a matched pair squares the truck off end to end.
The Winch and the Molded Lighting
The Premium separates from the rest of the lineup on two counts. It holds more winch, and it carries its own lights.
On the winch, it sits at the top of the range. The biggest trucks, like the Ford Super Duty, take a winch up to 16,500 pounds, mounted on a quarter-inch steel tray built into the bumper. Half-ton and midsize trucks carry less, usually a 10,000 to 12,000-pound winch. The rating is listed on every product, so you match the winch to the bumper before you buy. One-inch D-ring mounts come built in for a tow strap or a shackle.
On the lights, it carries its fog and turn lamps in molded housings, which the Black Steel, Vengeance, and Matrix don't have. A 90mm opening takes a round fog light and a 60mm opening takes a turn signal, one of each per side. The lights drop in separately, and Fab Fours makes LED units sized to fit. The lamps sit flush in the face, so the front lights the road without a bar bolted up top.
What to Know Before You Buy
Fitment. Each Premium is cut for one truck and one year range, and it bolts to the frame with the brackets and hardware in the box, no cutting or drilling on nearly every fitment. This is heavy plate steel with a winch tray built in, so plan on two people and a couple of hours in the driveway, or a shop if you'd rather. The exact shipping weight is on each listing, so you know what you're lifting before it ships. The Toyota Tacoma is one of the most popular Premium fitments, and the heavy-duty trucks carry the rest of the range.
Winch. Every front face is winch-ready out of the box, and the winch is a separate buy. The rating sits on each listing, so check it before you buy the winch and match the two.
Lights and sensors. The front housings take a 90mm fog light and a 60mm turn signal, sold on their own or as Fab Fours LEDs. Factory parking sensors carry over on most newer fitments, and the rear comes in sensor and non-sensor versions. Sensor support changes by truck and year, so read the fit notes on your exact truck before you order.
Finish. Every Premium ships in black powder coat over the steel. It's one color, blacked out, no chrome and no paint match.
Value. Premium pricing splits by the end of the truck. Rear bumpers run about $1,050 to $1,720. Front winch bumpers, the heart of the series, run higher. They start around $1,600 on a Bronco and reach about $4,140 on a Super Duty full-guard build, as the steel and the winch tray grow with the platform. Behind all of it is Fab Fours' limited lifetime structural warranty to the original owner.
Buying and shipping. BumperStock is an authorized Fab Fours dealer, so every Premium ships new with the factory warranty intact and free shipping across the lower 48. Not sure which guard fits your truck, or how much winch it takes? Our team will confirm the fit before you order, and if a bumper shows up wrong for your truck, we make it right. Mount the winch, wire the lights, and put the Premium up front.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Fab Fours Premium bumper?
It's Fab Fours' winch-ready flagship, cut from 3/16-inch American plate steel with a reinforced winch tray and one-inch D-ring mounts built in. It comes in three front faces, a full grille guard, a center pre-runner guard, or no guard, plus a matching rear, and its molded housings for the fog and turn lights set it apart from the rest of the line.
How big a winch does the Fab Fours Premium hold?
Up to 16,500 pounds on the biggest trucks, like the Ford Super Duty, which is the highest capacity in the Fab Fours lineup. Half-ton and midsize trucks run a 10,000 to 12,000-pound winch, because the bumper scales with the truck. The exact winch rating is on every product listing, so you can match the winch to the bumper before you buy.
Should I get the Fab Fours Premium or the Matrix?
Both are built on the same 3/16-inch plate steel and share the aggressive Fab Fours look. The Premium holds a bigger winch, up to 16,500 pounds against the Matrix's 12,000, adds the molded fog and turn light housings, and comes as a front and a rear. The Matrix is front-only and leans toward a light-bar build. The Premium is the pick for the most winch and the built-in lighting; the Matrix trades some winch capacity for a more stylized, light-bar-focused front.
Does the Fab Fours Premium come as a rear bumper?
Yes. The Premium runs front and rear, and the rear is one of the series' most popular pieces. It matches the front in 3/16-inch steel and comes in sensor and non-sensor versions, so factory parking sensors keep working where the truck has them. A lot of owners run a Premium rear with the front for one look end to end.
What lights fit the Fab Fours Premium housings?
The molded housings on the front bumper take a 90mm round fog light and a 60mm turn signal, one of each per side on most fitments. Fab Fours makes LED versions sized to drop straight into the housings, or you can run another brand in the same sizes.
Are Fab Fours Premium bumpers made in the USA?
Yes. Fab Fours cuts and welds every Premium from American steel at its own plant in Lancaster, South Carolina. Fab Fours was founded in 2004, and Warn Industries, which makes winches, bought the company in 2021 and kept production in the same plant.
